María Ángeles is deeply rooted in Tangier's Spanish Quarter. Her apartment on Calle Málaga—filled with memories, flowers, and antique treasures—is her pride and joy. She's in constant contact with the other residents of the neighborhood and often watches the vibrant city life unfold from her balcony. When her daughter Clara wants to sell the apartment, everything is thrown into disarray. But instead of moving into a retirement home, María Ángeles stands her ground. With wit, resourcefulness, and heart, she fights for her home. And in doing so, she discovers an even greater zest for life.
